Overview

Nordic Semiconductor is the primary silicon candidate for the FluxCow architecture. They dominate the ultra-low-power wireless market with their nRF series (BLE, Mesh, Cellular IoT). ION Associates acts as their strategic channel partner for the region.

Strategic Importance

Nordic's ecosystem is natively aligned with our Zephyr RTOS strategy. They are the main contributors to the Zephyr project, ensuring our firmware stack has first-class support on their hardware.

Key Technical Assets:

  • nRF91 Series: The leading low-power Cellular IoT (NB-IoT/LTE-M) SiP. Crucial for our Leader Node backhaul and emerging NTN support.
  • nRF52/53 Series: High-performance multiprotocol SoCs. Ideal for our Member Node mesh (802.15.4g / Bluetooth Mesh).
  • DECT NR+: Nordic is the pioneer of DECT NR+ (non-cellular 5G), which we are evaluating for massive density mesh in Phase 3.
